Check the image sample

圖像樣張有時也被稱為隨機樣張或散播樣張，又因為這些樣張上只有圖像，而沒有任何頁面布局方面的信息。如果你不知道掃描后的圖片或拍攝的數(shù)碼照片將如何被復(fù)制，或者不知道印刷服務(wù)供應(yīng)商是否已經(jīng)幫你完成了掃描工作，那你可能就要在進入下一個生產(chǎn)步驟之前檢查一下圖像樣張。

Image proofs are sometimes referred to as random proofs or spread proofs, because there are only images on these proofs without any page layout information. If you don't know how the scanned image or digital photo will be copied, or whether the printing service provider has finished the scanning work for you, you may need to check the image sample before going to the next production step.

Check the following parameters:

尺寸。圖像的尺寸是否正確？如果要在一個項目里對不同尺寸的同一幅圖像進行重復(fù)使用，那么就要檢查一下每一幅圖像的縮放比例是否正確。

Size. Is the size of the image correct? If you want to reuse the same image of different sizes in a project, you need to check whether the scaling ratio of each image is correct.

裁切。當你打算把圖像放入頁面版式中的時候，它能否占滿整個目標區(qū)域？千萬不要把不該裁的內(nèi)容裁切。此外，如果你只需要用到一幅圖像中的很小的一部分，那就可以把沒用的圖像都裁掉，以節(jié)約存儲空間，加快處理速度。

Cutting. When you plan to put the image into the page layout, can it occupy the whole target area? Don't cut the content that shouldn't be cut. In addition, if you only need to use a small part of an image, you can cut out all the useless images to save storage space and speed up processing.

方向。確定在最終的版式中，你所處理的圖像是要被橫向使用還是縱向使用的。

Direction. Determine whether the image you are processing will be used horizontally or vertically in the final layout.

角度。圖像目前的角度是否與它在印刷成品中使用的角度相同？

Angle. Is the current angle of the image the same as that used in the printed product?

匹配原稿。這個樣張是否能真實地再現(xiàn)透明原稿、反光藝術(shù)品或數(shù)碼照片？樣張與原稿的匹配程度有時就是一種主觀的評價，但我們可以在只使用CMYK四色顏料的前提下，檢查一下樣張與原稿是否匹配。

Match the original. Can this sample truly reproduce transparent original, reflective artwork or digital photos? Sometimes the matching degree between the sample and the original is a subjective evaluation, but we can check whether the sample and the original match on the premise of only using CMYK four-color pigment.

色彩。樣張是不是太暗了，太亮了或缺少反差？像白色、灰色和黑色這樣的中性區(qū)域里是否被印上了我們不想要的顏色？舉例來說，應(yīng)該仔細檢查水泥路或柏油路這樣的灰色地帶，確保它們沒有被印上紅色、藍色或綠色等顏色。

Color. Is the sample too dark, too bright or lack of contrast? Are neutral areas like white, gray and black printed with colors we don't want? For example, gray areas such as concrete or asphalt roads should be carefully examined to make sure they are not marked with red, blue or green.

細節(jié)。圖像高光和暗調(diào)部分的細節(jié)是否清晰可辨？如果原始圖像或原稿本身就缺乏細節(jié)，那我們在復(fù)制過程中就不必考慮這個問題，但是如果客戶拿來的原稿上是有細節(jié)內(nèi)容的，那我們就要把它們保留下來。

Details. Are the details of the highlight and dark part of the image clear? If the original image or manuscript itself lacks details, we don't have to consider this problem in the process of copying. However, if the client brings the manuscript with details, we have to keep them.

莫爾條紋。特別是在拍攝或掃描有圖案（紡織纖維或幾何圖案等）的原稿時，我們就需要對圖像進行特殊處理了。有時我們可以在Photoshop里使用“輕微模糊”的選項，以避免莫爾條紋的出現(xiàn)。你可能還要確定自己最不能容忍哪一種情況的出現(xiàn)——是可惡的莫爾條紋還是在模糊處理后損失的圖像細節(jié)。

Moire fringe. Especially when shooting or scanning the original with pattern (textile fiber or geometric pattern, etc.), we need to process the image specially. Sometimes we can use the "slight blur" option in Photoshop to avoid moire fringes. You may also want to decide which situation you can't tolerate the most - hateful moire fringes or image details lost after blurring.

輪廓圖。這是檢查圖像邊緣的一個絕佳機會，無論是你自己創(chuàng)建了它們還是讓印刷服務(wù)供應(yīng)商幫你創(chuàng)建了它們。有些在屏幕上覺得可以接受的輪廓到了實際的樣張上就不是那么回事了，你可能還要對其進行清理。

Outline drawing. This is a great opportunity to check the edges of images, whether you create them yourself or have a printing service provider help you create them. Some of the outlines that are acceptable on the screen are not the same when they are used in the actual sample. You may have to clean them up.
